We've Come a Long Way, Baby!

Fourteen years ago I was working for a company developing a network-based multi-user games. One of the guys on our team was a graphic artist creating 3D objects and environments for our games using 3D Studio. With such applications you need lots of RAM, and I still remember how amazed I was that his computer had 64 MB. The most memory I had seen on a PC before that was 16 MB, and even that seemed like a lot.

Well thanks to Microsoft’s Mark Russinovich we now get to see what Task Manager looks like on a computer equipped with 2 Tera Bytes – 2,046,965 MB – 31,984 times more memory than that graphic workstation from 14 years ago.
BTW note that this server also has 64 cores.

I wonder how many Terminal Server sessions PowerTerm WebConnect on Windows Server 2008 x64 can load on that server.
