You’re sitting on a plane, a two-and-a-half-hour flight from your home base in New York, en route to Chicago where you have an important client meeting. You blocked out your time on the flight to prepare for the meeting, planning to use the inflight WiFi to access your corporate network via your company’s SSL VPN so you can plug the latest performance metrics into a PowerPoint presentation.

You’ve now wasted 45 minutes on this problem, time you were planning on using to work on your presentation. Sweating bullets, and not closing your laptop until a little too long after the announcement to close your laptop, you get the presentation ready, feeling a little anxious that you didn’t have time to double check some of the figures.
